The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 is a rimfire AR-pattern rifle chambered in .22 LR, with 8" and 16"/16.5" barrel options and 10- or 25-round magazines, in black, flat dark earth, Muddy Girl camo, and a red/white/blue patriotic finish. It runs the same controls and layout as a centerfire AR-15 at a fraction of the ammunition cost, making it a common training platform for AR owners.
