This Florida Class-D Security Officer course prepares individuals for unarmed security guard roles.
To carry a firearm you will also need the Class-G course.

Class-G Armed Guard Security License
This Florida Class G Statewide Firearms License course is for security guards who wish to work in an armed capacity.
You must complete the D-License Security Guard Course prior to enrolling in this G-License Course.

Complete the D-License Course first to work as an unarmed security professional, followed by the G-License Course so you can propel your career as an armed security guard.

G License Renewal Course (4 hour)
The Florida Class G Security License renewal requires an annual 4-hour re-qualification course.
This course ensures armed security officers maintain proficiency with their duty firearm and stay current with relevant laws and safety protocols.

The Class D security license is Florida's entry-level unarmed guard credential and the starting point for most security careers.
